No comlaints at all, everything was first class.
Elegant and stylish lounge/bar/library/dinning room. Good breakfast. Great location on the sea front. Easy parking. Would pay the extra for room with sea view.
A little chilly at night in the dinning room. But it did snow while we were there!
The breakfast was great!! The service was very good and the room very comfortable. Some furniture could be up dated as it was not executive standard. We had a very welcoming and comfortable stay.
We did not eat in the restaurant of the evening we arrived, because we felt for the prices being charged, should have matched menue. I felt should have been more modern and exciting, instead sounded like an 80's menue. I'm sorry chef but I think you need to up your game and be a bit more 2012, there maybe should be more fish/seafood dish'S. I am sure the food would have been great, but it did not intice us to stay and eat at your table. Would only have this remark to say as a downside to our stay.
A lovely large room with a sea view. The bedroom facilities were a high standard. The hotel was in an excellent position on the sea front and near to shops and resturants.
staff were friendly and welcoming, all very smart, including room maids, in uniform. Hotel in a good position, and although we did not realise at the time of booking, our room had a sea view.
Parking is difficult in the seafront hotels of Eastbourne (although they do have a "voucher" system for side street parking, as long as there is a space). There was a need to approach waiting staff at breakfast in order to get tea/coffee. They also did not approach you as to whether you required "a la carte" breakfast or buffet.
Very spacious bedroom/bathroom with great seaview. The communal areas (reception/restaurant/bar/corridors) very modern, fresh & spacious. Very luxurious, the best Hotel we have been to in a long time. The photos you see of the hotel are a true reflection of what you get.
The tv reception was poor and the channels were all in the wrong order. There was only a handful of channels & on the Saturday we couldn't get itv or Channel 4. You would expect for this kind of hotel a flat screen, well functioning tv. Such a shame as everything else was spot on.
The Reception staff were very helpful. The room facilities were very good. The breaksfast was very good value.
The room temperatures were too hot and stuffy. The windows were sealed and there was no air conditioning. The mattress was very soft and the bed side light did not work.
Well located, with very obliging front desk staff. Comfortable reception area, and spacious dining room. I stayed in sea view room, which was was exactly that, with a magnificent view. If you can get room 110, you will not be disappointed!
The hotel was a tad warm, but I think this was caused by the unseasonal warm spell.
The Cavendish Hotel had recently undergone a refurbishment, according to staff, and we thought the decor was beautiful! Our twin room was huge and we had plenty of room to set up our 3-year old's bed/cot in the room. The bathroom was large and beautiful, with a very nice shower/bath. We had a flat screen TV, modern furnishings, tea/coffee, kettle, biscuits, etc. We also ordered some drinks to be brought up to our room from the bar area. The drinks weren't overly priced and the service was very quick! The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was included in the price of our hotel and it was fantastic!
The heated towel rack in the bathroom was on all the time, and did not have a dial to turn down the heat or to turn it off. This was unfortunate during a stay on a hot, August weekend. We told the front desk staff about it (I am sure they get this complaint all the time). They were unable to do anything about it, but did provide us with 3 fans in the room, which helped immensely. We were also able to open our large window in our room. We didn't have a nice view (car park at the back of the building), but we were happy to have a little breeze coming in.
Brilliant quality Hotel
1/ Restaurant was not available due to wedding pre-booking - Would have been good to have pre-advised 2/ Wonderful size bedroom spoiled by a tiny 600mm square shower. Not enough for a normal size person - Impossible if you were a large person- no bath.
Disabled facilities, ramp at the back into the parking area and the sea view was wonderful. Lovely breakfast and very polite, helpful staff
The room with disabled facilities was on 3rd floor. In the event of a fire what happens when the lift is put out of action?
Service was great and the breakfast we were very impressed with. Compared to the competition Cavendish Hotel was amazing. Highly recommend this hotel to all my friends and family members.
the room was nice the sea veiw was good
staff not very helpfull breakfast not a very good standered .
The hotel is clean with good value comfortable rooms. I found the staff very friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the bar area was good too. I will stay there when I visit Eastbourne again in the near future.
Everything. The Welcome, The building, The room, The food, the location. We really enjoyed our stay.
